I was born a story teller. As one of my fellow authors stated, "Anyone can be taught to write, but being a story teller comes naturally." I wanted to be an author since I was a small child, and I've been an avid reader ever since I first read about Dick and Jane in elementary school.   I wrote lots of stories, but didn’t know what to do with what I wrote.  I was inspired when I saw Claire Cook, author of Must Love Dogs, on the Today Show in July, 2009.  Since then, I have published four books, The Next Chapter, Read MY Shorts!, Rainbow in the Dark, and Follow Your Dreams. I am working on my fifth book (my third novel), Elusive Dream, to be released soon.

I have lived most of my life in Eastern and Central Washington. My husband and I currently live in Spokane Valley, Washington.  We have also lived in NW Washington (Birch Bay), NW Oregon (Astoria) and South Florida (Port St. Lucie).  Between my husband and I, we have three sons - two are mine, one is his, but all three are ours...Donovan, 34 - married to Brandi; Anthony, 32; and Ryan, 29. We have 2 wonderful grandchildren, Bryce and Kaelee.

We share our lives with our wild and crazy - and oh so much fun - Shiba Inu/Chihuahua mix, Cooper and our beautiful American Staffordshire Terrier Jenny. Even though the last of our Chihuahua family passed in 2015, we never forget that we used to breed our Chihuahuas, Charlie and Ginger. Charlie, Ginger, Angel, and Tommy were as much a part of our family as our kids and us!

My favorite authors?  Nicholas Sparks, Debbie Macomber, Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson, John Grisham, Janet Evanovich, Claire Cook, just to name a few.  W. Somerset Maugham is one of my favorite authors from the past, and finally...my all time favorite book is Gone With the Wind, so I have to mention Margaret Mitchell.
