Swedish Meatballs

1 package Lipton onion soup mix
16 ounces sour cream
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1 beaten egg
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 cup hot water

Make "California Dip" - mix together the Lipton onion soup mix and sour cream.

In medium bowl, combine 1 cup "California dip", ground beef, soft bread crumbs, beaten egg, nutmeg, allspice.  Shape into balls and roll in flour.  Brown meatballs in large skillet and place in baking pan.  Stir remaining dip with 1 cup hot water in skillet, heat through. Pour over meatballs.  Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 minutes.

This is my mother's recipe, and has always been a family favorite!
